Carolyn Gilbert Scholarship
The Carolyn Gilbert Scholarship for Higher Education recognizes young bowlers who have graduated from high school and want to continue (or are continuing) their education. Applicants must be currently enrolled in 12th grade or in a college, trade school, or tech school.  They must also be a resident of Missouri, participating in USBC league play, a member in good standing of the Missouri State USBC, and not under suspension by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association. Prior recipients of an award are not eligible to win the same award again.  DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 02/08/2010
Dorothy Johnson Scholarship
The Dorothy Johnson Female Youth Bowler of the Year $1,000 Scholarship.  To qualify for this award, a bowler must be female, currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, and participating in USBC Youth League play. May be nominated by a local USBC association, coaching group, proprietor, or center management representative. The applicant must also be a resident of Missouri, participating in USBC league play, a member in good standing of the Missouri State USBC, and not under suspension by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association. Prior recipients of an award are not eligible to win the same award again. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION:  02/08/2010
Don Rohman Scholarship
The Don Rohman Male Youth Bowler of the Year Award recognizes outstanding bowling, academics, leadership and community service by amateur male youth bowlers in Missouri. Nominee must be male and currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.  He must also be a resident of Missouri, participating in USBC league play, a member in good standing of the Missouri State USBC, and not under suspension by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association. Prior recipients of an award are not eligible to win the same award again.  DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION:  02/08/2010
The Billy Welu Scholarship is awarded annually, recognizing exemplary qualities in male and female college students who compete in the sport of bowling.
The Annual Zeb Scholarship is awarded to a USBC Youth member who achieves academic success and gives back to their community through service. One person will be selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship, which will be managed through the USBC’s SMART Program. The Annual Zeb Scholarship will be formally presented at the USBC Junior Gold Championships award ceremony. USBC will pay travel and hotel expenses for the winner and one guest to attend the award ceremony. The selection is based on the candidate’s grades, academic and community involvement, letters of reference and essay.
The Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship annually recognizes USBC bowlers for their community involvement and academic achievements, both in high school and college. Five winners will be selected and each will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
The Gift for Life Scholarships are awarded annually to high school students who offer evidence of financial hardships. Scholarships will be awarded to twelve (12) USBC Youth members, six (6) males and six (6) females. The winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship managed through USBC’s SMART program. In honor of the September 11th heroes, two of these awards, one to a male and one to a female, are reserved for a son and a daughter of fire/police/emergency rescue personnel.
